Residents and visitors to the 2025 Highlands County Fair can enjoy a preview of the expanding Sugar Express passenger train attraction during a 1-hour roundtrip train ride featuring Sugar Express steam locomotive 148 operating out of the fairgrounds on February 9th.
Trains depart at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Tickets are $35.00 per person and children three and under ride free.
Fair tickets are not included or required for admittance. Trains include climate-controlled seating, and restrooms, and also feature an open-air souvenir car.

Our passenger train consists of historic cars dating from the early 1900s to the mid-1950s. Our train is climate-controlled except in our open-air class and features restrooms onboard.

Parking for the trip will take place at Sebring High School at 3514 Kenilworth Blvd, Sebring, FL 33870. Parking and boarding instructions will be emailed to you with your tickets.
Boarding will take place at the fairgrounds, located at 101 Blue Streak Blvd, Sebring, FL, 33870.
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before departure.
