CLIMB ABOARD FLORIDA HISTORY!
Featuring vintage passenger cars and Sugar Express steam locomotive no. 148, these trips will traverse local farmland on a spirited ride perfect for families and children.
Departing from 900 WC Owen Avenue, these one-hour trips will offer guests a ride aboard a vintage passenger train through the surrounding sugarcane fields! Tickets are $30.00 plus tax per person. Children 3 and under and not occupying a seat ride free.
No. 148 will be operating a six-chime steam whistle off sister locomotive No. 153, which is currently on display at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. Steam locomotive No. 153’s voice has been silent for decades and has not been heard in the Clewiston region since the 1950s!

PARKING & BOARDING
Parking and boarding will take place at 900 W C Owen Ave, just south of the Sugar Festival grounds. Additional parking and boarding instructions will be emailed to passengers. Due to capacity, parking is only good for the duration of your train ride and there is no parking available for the festival.
PLEASE NOTE
Due to its historic nature, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible. Cars used on excursions feature steep steps, narrow hallways, and doorways, as well as small restrooms which can present challenges for guests with limited mobility. Please contact our ticket agent prior to purchasing for questions on accommodations.
